Stay Caffeinated This Summer With Cold Brew Coffee!!
Cold brew is simple and can be made using what you probably already have in your kitchen.
Our medium roasted coffees are great for cold brew, especially the Dutch Bliss and Guatemala.
What you'll need:
1-1/2 - cups fresh course-ground coffee
4- cups cold water
2 qt glass jar or pitcher
Coffee filter or cheese cloth, and a medium seive ; or a French press
Put the ground coffee into the glass jar and pour the water over top, stir it gently to make sure the grounds are thoroughly saturated. Put the lid on and let steep for 12- 16 hours in the refrigerator, depending on the roast level and taste preference. It should taste smooth and slightly sweet (depending on the coffee used) Under-extraction may result in a hint of sour, while over-extraction will become bitter. After 12- 16 hours strain the coffee using the filter or cheesecloth and sieve, or a french press.
Add water or milk to your liking and serve over ice. You can also add caramel syrup or other flavors if you prefer. ENJOY! #freshcoffee #coldbrew
